DBN Girls and their Loafers

 

Ok alright I was out and about in sunny DBN yesterday,  got disturbed by soo many Carvella loafers stepping on me Lord, giving me corns! Honeys are rocking them with summer dresses, linen pants, cargo pants, tracksuits, playsuite in such a TACKY way!


So my thought were since I can't beat them, let me share with my fellow sistas.
Don't get me wrong loafers are quite big in Europe and the Carverla brand is enormous in Italy!  It very tricky when women wear male inspired shoes, u don't wanna look like you lost your shoes and your Boyfriend had to borrow u his pair bra! these are some dope example how u can rock it:

Loafers were derived from the moccasins which originated from Norwegian trade exports. Which are originally mans shoes. These days a loafer has been refined to become an extremely versatile, reliable and adaptable shoe. Which can be dressed up or down in creative way by females. kind of like this:

Regardless, today, the loafer is a very famous shoe especially in DBN, as I have seen 13 chicks wearing them in a space of an hour. So to all the ladies please DO it with some style, DO it with some class and most importantly DO it with confidence!

Young talent is the Futuristic……

I know, it feels like Durban gets smaller when the weekend hits. I see the same faces doing the same things then I stop for

It was time for change
Friday evening, we decided to doll ourselves up and hit the DUT (Durban University ) fashion show.

Breath taking fresh.. new talent is always so inspiring yet so fresh.

We were late as usual, girls always take forever to get ready. So we walked into the show and we were

In awh! It was made of all the right ingredients and it felt as if they could really take it to Milan Fashion Week.

Even though there was a whole of talent, there are those names who are worth mentioning and others

Who are just not worth it.

We loved your range Carmen Freeman………. Nicole Hoyer just stood out from the rest, her range is forward thinking, yet

Young vibes and definitely trendy. “Forever New” landed in Gateway a bit too late by the looks of things coz this girl is Forever New.

Nonhlanhla Magasela might have put on a winter range, but those power suits are POWERFUL! I want to be seen around the office

Shena Unwin was just on another level, loved your line, it was creative, good to look at and absolutely loved the thinking out

I'm glad its finally the Weekend...

Has been a long week with Google launching their fashion shopping site called boutiques.com that visitors can go view boutiques created by Fashion designers,Celebrities or even Bloggers. Very impressive and this will certainly put other existing shopping site out of business.Designer of the Year' Alber Elbaz' Award presented by The Accessories Council in New York City last week. Well deserved I say, LANVIN has stood out from the rest these past seasons and he also earned top honours as the Most Influential Designer at WSGN's World Fashion Awards , in New York. This cat is on a roll 2 awards in 1 week!!
